Private William Nolan

 

The background of this man is not known at present.

William Nolan enlisted in the North Irish Horse at Dublin on 16 August 1918 (Corps of Hussars No.72129). He stated that he was born in Dublin, was a labourer, and was 20 years old. He was described as being 5' 7½" tall, with a fresh complexion, auburn hair and blue eyes, and tattooed forearms.

He was reported to have deserted from the regiment's reserve depot at Antrim on 13 December 1918.
